Transportation Mission
Mission:
The Transportation Department Mission is to support the quality education process of Anson County Schools and the "All Means All" philosophy by providing safe, consistent and efficient transportation daily to all eligible students by implementing and using best of industry practices.
 
 
 

ACS Safety Policy

Anson County Schools considers no phase of operation to be of greater importance than employee and student safety.  It is the policy of this school system to provide and maintain a safe and healthy working environment.  Anson County Schools will establish best practices for safety rules and guidelines to be followed throughout the District.

This policy will be implemented by:

  • Developing safety standards for facilities, machinery, equipment, tools and work practices that are based on applicable regulatory standards.
  • Providing continuous education regarding general safety policies and procedures.
  • Conducting safety inspections to identify and prevent potential hazards.
  • Investigating accidents to determine the cause(s) and action(s) required to prevent re-occurrences.
  • Providing the necessary personal protective equipment for employees.
  • Operating motor vehicles in accordance with safe procedures.
  • Identifying potential health hazards and developing necessary protective measures.
  • Publicly promoting safety to maintain interest and participation.

It is the responsibility and obligation of all employees to make safety an essential part of their job.
