This program provides financial assistance to public schools to help ensure that all children meet challenging academic content and student academic achievement standards.
LEA’s target the Title I funds they receive for schoolwide programs that serve all children in the school. Title I funds are used for children from preschool age to high school, but most of the students served are in grades 1 through 8. Title I funds are used to upgrade the instructional programs for the whole school.
